The Intimus 175 Hybrid Data Shredder for high security applications is the first shredder to combine both optical media and paper shredding in one machine. Built to shred to the highest security level, the Intiums 175 Hybrid meets the security standards of the US NSA and German BSI and has a DIN Security level of P-7/O-6.
The Intimus 175 Hybrid uses innovative cutting technology so that both paper and CDs/DVDs/Blu-Rays can be shredded at the same time. The solid cutting shafts are made out of a special material, divided into two segments, each with a different geometrical design meaning that the different requirements for the destruction of paper and optical media are optimised.
This machine comes with an automatic oiling system to ensure optimum performance when destroying CDs and DVDs/Blu-Rays. The machine will automatically inform the user when the oil is nearing empty.
The 175 Hybrid is controlled using i-control, giving visual information for user clarity. The machine is also equipped with automatic stop-start technology. The 175 Hybrid is designed to be environmentally friendly – it has the Ecologic energy management system meaning that the shredder will be put into sleep mode after being idle for a period of time. The separate waste bins for paper and optical media mean that recycling is made more simple.
