Outstanding Quality & Durability
Made in Germany Quality – HSM Powerline shredders are designed, engineered and manufactured in Germany for outstanding quality and durability. HSM manufactures virtually all shredder components except for electrics and conveyors from raw materials (steel & plastic) in their own engineering plant in South West Germany. Powerline machines are assembled in the main engineering plant in Salem.
HSM Powerline machines are covered by a 2-year on-site machine warranty (single shift operation under 2,000 hrs per annum). HSM shredders are supported in the UK by HSM's own team of Service engineers, with service work control handled out of the HSM Office in Burntwood, Staffordshire.
Robust Cutting Rollers & Continuous Operation
The cutting rollers on Powerline shredders are machined in HSM's CNC Machining Hall from solid rods of steel which are maintained at a constant temperature to maintain cutting tolerances. Cutters undergo a multi-stage manufacturing process including machining, induction hardening at over 800°C, precision grinding with exhaustive quality checks at every stage. These larger rollers are induction hardened offsite at a specialist facility to cope with the extremely high magnetic fields required. The resulting cutting rollers are extremely robust and very sharp, with a long effective service life.
Powerful Three Phase motor (2.2kW or 3kW depending on cut size) gives continuous run operation for impressive shredding throughput.
Special Features
The Powerline 450 is equipped with a convenient working table that folds out from the front of the machine.
The P-4 Powerline 450 has an extra-large feed in slot for flat stacks of paper, plus an ingenious rotary hopper for feeding crumpled paper directly into the cutting head. (The P-5 machine does not have the hopper). Emergency Stop button conveniently located on RHS of feed slot.
The bin compartment in the Powerline 450 holds 290-litre large plastic waste bags.
Product Details
The HSM Powerline 450.2 1688 (formerly known as the 450.2 Professional) is a 2x15mm Micro Cut shredder. It is a mobile, High Performance Security Departmental Shredder with a large collecting capacity.
An integrated rolling hopper assists in the destruction of crumpled paper and can destroy entire computer listings in one pass plus floppy disks, CD's Store and Credit Cards etc.
Auto start stop via photoelectric cell plus auto stop when container is full. Auto reverse in the event of a jam.
The HSM Powerline 450.2 1688 has a Removable trolley to exit the reusable waste bag.

As well as the shredder, power cable and product manual, the box contains a free 250ml starter bottle of shredder oil & a pack of 5 waste sacks. Please note that the shredder oil will last approximately 1 week and so it is recommended that you order more to keep your shredder running at full capacity.
