The HD-3XTLE degausser from Garner is a high-volume, rapid degaussing solution designed for efficient and secure data destruction. This powerhouse can completely erase all data from hard drives or tapes in just 3 seconds using a 10,000 gauss (1 tesla) magnetic field. Thanks to its oversized media slot, it's ideal for environments where time and security are critical; the HD-3XTLE enables swift and continuous operation without the need for cool-down periods and is capable of erasing up to 4,500 small drives (1.8" or 2.5") and 450 standard to full-height hard drives per hour.
Operation is straightforward:
- Inserting the media automatically starts the degauss cycle.
- In three seconds, the media is degaussed and released down the slide, immediately beginning pre-charging for the next cycle.
- Turning off the device safely discharges any pre-charged energy.
The HD-3XTLE plugs into any standard wall outlet worldwide and is built to function continuously, reflecting its ability to handle demanding tasks. Each cycle's magnetic field strength is confirmed by on-board diagnostics, ensuring complete data erasure, with results displayed on an LCD that shows gauss field strength, cycle count, job count, and diagnostics.
For those requiring detailed documentation of the destruction process, the HD-3XTLE comes with a voucher for the SCAN-1X Media Destruction Report software and scanner, enabling the creation of detailed media destruction reports that document the date, time, user ID, serial number, and erasure verification of each degauss cycle. An optional IRONCLAD Integrated Auditing System also offers the ability to generate comprehensive destruction reports with JPG images of the media post-degaussing.
